The card
The Buffalo Run 50 Mile starts at 7:00am at the Antelope Island Marina in Syracuse, Utah, a multi-loop course past the Great Salt Lake's free-roaming bison herd. The route climbs about 3,383 feet between 4,218 and 4,908 feet, with an out-and-back climb to Elephant Head Peak crossed three times. Massif Running publishes an overall 17-hour cutoff (11:59pm) with no separate per-station cutoffs. Eight aid stations support the course; crew and drop bags are allowed at most of them, but not at Bridger Bay or Elephant Head. Pacers are permitted only from White Rock, mile 28.35. The race returns March 13, 2027; the 2026 edition was cancelled when biting gnats hatched early on the island.
