The card

Behind the Rocks Ultra 50 Mile starts at 6:00am in Moab, Utah, on a multi-loop desert course between 4,065 and 5,545 feet, with 5,163 feet of gain, past Navajo Sandstone domes and rim views of the La Sal Mountains. It is a cup-less, self-carry race: 50 mile and 50K runners must carry at least 40 ounces of water past Gatherer Canyon, mile 16 (11:45am cutoff). A finish-line pass at mile 32 (2:25pm) precedes the mile-50 finish, cut off at 8:00pm. Drop bags are allowed only at Gatherer Canyon and the finish; crew is restricted to aid stations on the RD's chart, and pacing is prohibited at every distance. The race returns April 3, 2027.
